Sri Ramanavami 2014 was conducted with the sponsorship of Austin IFA on April 26, 2014. This year's Essay Competition had the following 2 topics: 

Group 1 (Ages 7-11): In Ramayana, besides Sita devi, there are several women who are important characters in the epic. They include Thataka, Ahalya, Sabhari and Shoorpanaka. Choose one of these characters and write about their virtues or non-virtues

Group 2 (Ages 12-16): The concept of dharma was fundamental to ancient Indian culture. Begin your essay with a brief definition of dharma and follow with a discussion including examples of this concept in the epic Ramayana .
